Whenever I'm feeling down or depressed I just put Bottom on, or really anything else with Rik in it, and I'm immediately cheered up (and saddened he's no longer with us).

The news of this guy leaving us has hit me very hard...I have loved all and everything he has done since i was a young Lad. He has made me laugh millions of times over,again and again, for 30 years and more. I am deeply shocked and terribly saddened and i will Miss his Genius for a long.long time. RIP Rik, Your shows and manic comedy were one of the main reasons why my parents struggled to understand me. A terrible shock to the system, 56, so young and will be sadly missed.

I grew up idolising Rik, devestated to hear of his passing. The world is a sadder place having lost a revolutionary comic genius.
